Office Manager

Hello My name is Jennifer and I’m the office manager here at Park Slope Orthodontics!

I originally started out as a physiology major, with my sights set on a very different path. But during a semester of severance from school, life had other plans– I stumbled into DA school which then lead me into Orthodontics and never looked back. I’ve been working with  Dr.Shahi dating back to 2011. What began as a temporary detour quickly became a passion and career I genuinely love.

Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work in just about every role within the office – from clinical lead to front desk operation and treatment coordination. That hands-on experience has given me a deep understanding of what it takes to keep both our team and our patients smiling. Now, as office manager, I’m proud to lead with that same heart and dedication. 

Helping others is what drives me. Making someone’s day makes my day, and seeing our patients grow and transform throughout their orthodontic journey feels like watching family thrive. 

I truly believe in the saying quote “ find a job you love and you’ll never have to work a day in your life” – Confucius 

That’s exactly what Park Slope Orthodontics has become for me. 

Front Desk Associate/Treatment Coordinator

Bett joined the team at Park Slope Orthodontics in February 2024 as a Front Desk Associate/Treatment Coordinator, and has been a valued member of the practice ever since. Outside the office, Bett is a dedicated freelance dancer who has performed at a variety of venues throughout New York City. As one of the first friendly faces patients see when they arrive, Bett brings the same charisma and energy they have on stage to their everyday work—greeting everyone with a warm smile and vibrant personality. Passionate about creating a welcoming environment, they take genuine joy in helping patients feel comfortable and confident throughout their orthodontic journey. In their free time, Bett enjoys all forms of art, including singing, playing the ukulele, writing poetry, and making jewelry.

Assistant

Caitlin joined our practice in March and is the newest member of our team. With a strong passion for patient care, she thrives in our collaborative environment, assisting with orthodontic procedures and supporting treatment coordination. Her dedication to providing exceptional care shines through in every patient interaction, and she’s always happy to answer questions with a warm and friendly smile.

Outside the office, Caitlin enjoys aggressive roller skating and fiber arts. Her energy and enthusiasm bring a unique flair to both her work and her hobbies!

Admin/Front Desk

Bilerca joined the Park Slope Orthodontics team with a passion for helping others and a genuine love for creating positive patient experiences. With a year of experience in dentistry, she enjoys being the first friendly face patients see when they arrive and takes pride in making everyone feel welcome and cared for. Bilerca goes above and beyond to accommodate patients’ needs and loves being part of their journey toward achieving their best smile.

She believes what makes Park Slope Orthodontics truly special is the team’s dedication to building personal connections with patients and really listening to what they want — creating a warm, family-like environment.

Originally from the Dominican Republic and raised in Queens, New York, Bilerca enjoys spending her free time with loved ones, reading, and cooking. A fun fact about her? She dreams of owning a food truck one day and traveling the country with her family. Making others smile — both in and outside the office — is what brings her the most joy.
